Coming up

There have been loads of interesting gigs lately and it will take a while to process them all.  In reverse chronological order, these are in the pipeline:

Thurston Moore / Tall Firs
The Magic Band / Alexander Tucker
Wire / Talk Normal
Buddy Whittington / Aaron Keylock
Barn Owl / Talvihorros
Acid Mothers Temple
Higuma / Jozef van Wissem / An Infinity Room
Nadja / Purals / Petrels
Heidi Talbot
WT Feaster / Virgil and the Accelerators / Mitch Laddie
Blues Caravan: Girls with Guitars
Chantel McGregor

I attended a Kitty, Daisy & Lewis / Sharp Tongues gig recently, but the mic gain was set too high so the music is distorted and there is a lot of crowd noise.  I won't upload this one here unless anyone really wants it

I have also received another four Leonard Barras readings (thanks Pete).  I believe they are from "Flummoxed Four Times".

The Melvins - 3 November 2011

Buzz Osborne - guitar, vocals
Dale Crover - drums, vocals
Jared Warren - bass, vocals

This is what it is.  The music was loud and a portable recorder can only handle so much.

Aino Tytti (synthesizer)
Talvihorros (electric guitar and pedals) + percussionist
Jefre Cantu-Ledesma (guitar, electronics) & Paul Clipson (super 8 film)

An incorrect text file was bundled in with the second set.

Alexander Tucker (vocals, electronics)
Sorry there is a bit of distortion on the louder passages

Ali Farka Toure, Radio Tarif, 15 November 1997 - update

It has been brought to my attention that I omitted the link for the Radio Tarifa set in my post of 3 January 2010.  (I wondered why it hadn't been getting any downloads.)  I've updated the original entry entry but here is the link again.

Sunday, September 11, 2011

B.B. King, Avery Sunshine, 28 June 2011

The mic gain was set a bit low so you will probably want to play these loud.

Guests for the B.B. King set were Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Mick Hucknall, Slash and Ronnie Wood

Text file with set listing etc.  (forgot to bundle this in with the .rar files)

Eliane Radigue, June 2011

Triptych: The Music of Eliane Radigue

The music was fairly quiet and builds up gradually from silence.  The mic was set to high gain.  This means it picked up a lot of unwanted sound e.g. microphone scraping against my jacket, creaking seats.  The venue is a church and so is not as soundproof as a traditional concert hall.  External sounds (emergency vehicle sirens etc.) intrude from time to time.

I'm sure many of you out there know NWW's music much better than I do.

14 May 2018. Links re-upped. These are mp3 files at 32kpbs. The source file for the the Nurse with Wound set has become corrupted so it is not possible to provide as a FLAC.

Kathryn Tickell Band, London, 15 June 2010

Whether or not I give the set list, does that make any difference to whether or not you download it?  No, didn't think so.
And the post-gig interview

This one's a bit quite.  I cranked the volume up as much as possible in the edit, but you will still probably need to paly it loud.
