The band was billed as being with Mayall, though he wasn't there? Met him once at a blues festival in Detroit, seemed quite nice, I taped the show, might be able to find it someday (it was latter 1980s).
He was only out for the first two songs, then Roger Cotton left the stage and JM appeared. If I remember rightly, he was in the foyer selling merchandise before the show.
I'd be interested to hear your tape as and when it surfaces.
